Shell Polymers has called Beaver County, Pennsylvania, home since 2015. Samantha Baldwin can top that. Born and raised in the community, she’s returned to work and raise a family here.
The daughter of a Beaver County small business owner, mom-to-be Samantha Baldwin knows the importance of local commerce and economic development. And as production unit manager for utilities and general facilities at Shell Polymers Monaca, she’s thrilled to see her own employer making a significant contribution in her hometown.
“I’ve seen firsthand what this facility can do for the economy, the people, the community,” she says. “Being a part of Shell, and being in my hometown community, it’s really special to me.”
What’s most special? For Samantha, a former college golf star, it’s all about being part of a winning team. Every morning, she heads to the Monaca facility’s central control building — what she calls the “heart of the plant” — where various groups gather in one room to allow for cross-unit collaboration and communication.

We all bring something different to the table, with different personalities, different backgrounds and experiences. That’s what allows us to collaborate and challenge each other to come to the right solution.”
